- Local Network permission enabled for Beam Remote in iOS Settings
Getting started
- 1 Install Beam Remote from the App Store.
- 2 Allow Local Network access when prompted.
- 3 Wait for your TV in the discovery list, or enter its IP manually.
- 4 For Google TV / Android TV, enter the pairing code shown on your TV.

Troubleshooting
- Confirm TV and phone are on the same Wi‑Fi (disable VPN while testing).
- iOS Settings → Beam Remote → enable Local Network.
- Use Reconnect on the remote screen or Forget TV in Settings, then pair again.
- Google TV: pairing uses port 6467; remote control uses port 6466. Both must be reachable on your LAN.
- Keyboard: focus a search or text field on the TV, dismiss the on-screen keyboard on the TV, then send text from the app.
- Apps tab: tap a shortcut to open Netflix, YouTube, etc. on Google TV (app must be installed on the TV).
App Store listing
The app may appear as Beam Premium Remote on the App Store. The name on your home screen is Beam Remote.
